Travel Adventures
I just returned from a dreamy month in Paris, soaking in the ambience of the city of light and steeping myself in world class art. This experience will influence my work. As to possible subject matter, here’s a hint. I took over 100 pictures at Monet’s lily pond at Giverny. The water lilies were still in bloom. Reflections of blue sky and fluffy white clouds as well as bright summer blooms, ever faithful willow limbs, and charming green bridges danced across the pond. I love the energy of children at play and was fortunate to capture images of gleeful cherubs pushing colorful sailboats across a pool outside the Louvre. Memory of Paris at work and play is a fertile field of ideas for new paintings.
